Hello all,

I strongly support the translation of the website. I think Mandarin and Polish would be good to consider in addition to the languages already mentioned, as there is much activity in critical thinking research in both places.

Best,

Steve

I have always thought that an English/Spanish Critical Thinking Glossary would be of great use in classrooms.  Now that I am retired this might be a project I can take on.

Dear colleagues,

I believe Spanish would be a good start.  However, this would be a vast undertaking for just one person. Perhaps a committee should be organized to collect data on it, such as how many members are now from other countries.

Also, perhaps members who have had books translated into different languages could provide some assistance in this matter.  Just some thoughts.

Subject: Should AILACT's website be translated into other languages?

Dear all,

The board of directors of AILACT is going to launch a series of questions in order to encourage members to colectively debate and decide about possible ways of invigorating our association. The first question we would like to ask is this:

Expanding the presence of the Argumentation, Critical Thinking and Informal Logic community in non-English speaking countries seems like a sound goal for our association. Do you think it would be a good idea to have our website translated into other languages, like Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, etc.? In case you do, how do you think we should do it? Do you have other ideas to achieve this goal?

Kind regards,

Lilian
