Deadline Extended:
Foundation Scholarship Application
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation has
extended the deadline for its 2024-2025 academic year scholarship application. Students at all levels of study are eligible to apply, including
those accepted to and enrolled in dietetic technician, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, as well as dietetic internships.
Eligible applicants only need to complete one application to be considered for all Foundation 2024* scholarships, ranging from $500 to $25,000 each, including the
NDEP Future Educators Scholarship, NDEP Graduate Scholarship, and NDEP Preceptor Scholarship.
To qualify for the NDEP Future Educators Scholarship, applicants must:

Be a current member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Be accepted to or enrolled as an undergraduate student in an ACEND-accredited didactic or coordinated program or accepted to or enrolled in a dietetic internship.

Indicate a primary career interest of academia/education.

Indicate they are willing to serve as a preceptor in the future.

Preference is given to applicants that disclose lived experiences outside of traditionally recognized academic and professional indicators of success, including experiences that may position them to make much-needed and unique contributions
to the field, such as overcoming adversity.
To qualify for the NDEP Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:

Be a current member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Be accepted to or enrolled in a graduate or doctoral program related to nutrition and dietetics.

Be a graduate student member of NDEP.

Indicate a career interest of academic/education or long-term volunteerism as a preceptor.

Preference should be given to doctoral students with disclosed career interests of academia/education.

Preference is given to applicants that disclose lived experiences outside of traditionally recognized academic and professional indicators of success, including experiences that may position them to make much-needed and unique contributions
to the field, such as overcoming adversity.
To qualify for the NDEP Future Educators Scholarship, NDEP Graduate Scholarship, and NDEP Preceptor Scholarship, applicants must:

Be a current member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Be employed at a site of preceptorship affiliated with an ACEND-accredited program.

Be accepted to or enrolled in a graduate or doctoral program related to nutrition and dietetics.

Have served as a preceptor for a minimum of 12 months.

Be a member of NDEP.

The electronic scholarship application is available within the
Foundation’s Application Portal. The
extended deadline for all components of the scholarship application is
Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:00 am (Central Time). A one-week grace period will be provided for any late or missing recommendation, GPA verification, and GRE verification forms, which the Foundation will accept through 10:00 am CT on May 21, 2024. Emailed
and hard-copy application materials will not be accepted.
