Job Description:  


Associates are the backbone of Ridgetop Research’s best of breed primary source research platform.  They work directly with Senior Analysts as well as the Senior Director of Research to support the firm’s premier institutional client base.  Associates are responsible for understanding client’s complex research requests and sourcing and recruiting industry professionals across all sectors including Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Retail & Consumer, Leisure & Lodging, Energy, Industrials, Automotive & Transportation, Healthcare and Real Estate.  Associates work in a fast past environment, managing multiple projects at one time.  They are comfortable communicating Ridgetop’s value proposition and growing its exclusive custom recruiting platform.  

 

Key Responsibilities:


·         Consult with client-facing colleagues to understand client needs and fulfill time sensitive research requests

·         Effectively communicate Ridgetop Research’s business and value proposition to industry professionals- both on the phone and via email

·         Identify and establish relationships with professionals across all industries

·         Interview prospective industry leaders and effectively summarize their expertise

·         Understand clients’ compliance requirements

·         Compose concise professional biographies which captures an individual’s background and expertise accurately

·         Oversee and manage multiple projects to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery of information

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience

·         Bachelors Degree; Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.

·         1-3 years experience in Financial Services is highly desired

·         Experience with various software applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word)

 

Required Skills:

·         Superior communication skills both written and oral; excellent listening skills

·         Very strong analytical capabilities (i.e., demonstrated intellectual curiosity) and understanding of market concepts, methodologies and processes.

·         Aptitude for ‘selling;’ undeterred from rejection

·         Base knowledge of the financial services industry

·         Excels working in a team environment, yet has the capability to be an individual contributor

·         Self starter who can simultaneously manage multiple projects with a high degree of organization

·         Respond effectively to clients’ needs and management direction

·         Act with highest integrity and professionalism

·         Thrive in fast-past learning environment

·         Ability to communicate across the spectrum of industry professionals


Compensation includes: Competitive base salary, monthly commissions, discretionary year-end bonus, equity potential, and health benefits- including medical, vision and dental insurance
