Dear Colleagues,

Please save the date for the next lecture in our series, "Perspectives on Aging in the 21st Century." The Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging lecture series is co-sponsored by the Silberman School of Social Work and the CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College, and we are proud to present our next speaker:

Christina Zarcadoolas, PhD, Professor, CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College

Dr. Zarcadoolas will discuss the fundamentals of health literacy, including how low health literacy affects older adults in profound ways, and present findings from her recently completed NIH-funded project examining low-literate patients' perceptions and concerns about using patient electronic medical records and other digital modes of information and communication about health.

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, February 27th 5-6:30 pm in Room 217 at the Silberman Building, 2180 Third Avenue (at 119th Street). Please note that this lecture is rescheduled from last semester.

We look forward to seeing you on February 27th !
