Subject: Compost Volunteer Day on Sunday Dec. 1st

Hello Volunteers,
We will be hosting a compost build with Bellerose Community Composters and Grow NYC on December 1st and could use some extra hands to build a huge pile from 5 tons of collected food scraps. The details are below. Send me an email if you plan on volunteering or have questions. It will be a great way to get some post-Thanksgiving exercise. Hope everyone is having a pleasant fall.
Best,
Leah

Help needed: Ever wonder what happens to the food scraps collected at Greenmarket drop-off sites? Join us to learn the art and science of community-based composting. Together, we'll mix up a new batch of compost with 10,000 pounds of food scraps. Snacks will be provided but please bring lunch.
