The Division of Adult and Continuing Education at LaGuardia Communitycollege is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an adjunctinstructor position in the Community Health Program in Fall 2012.

Responsibilities and Duties: The adjunct instructor will teach the Health and Wellness course inthe evening section. This course covers healthy life style and basic nutrition,chronic diseases, mental health, reproductive health and maternal and childhealth. The instructor will also work closely with the basic skills instructor and Educational Case Manager to improve students progress and must attend all bi-weekly staff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree in Health Education, Public Health,Community Health, 2 years teaching experience, 2 years work experience in the community/clinicalsettings. Familiarity with curriculum development and  an Adult learning, participatoryteaching style and popular education is desired.
