Passage of registration exams given by the Commission on Dietetic Registration resulting in the attainment of Registered Dietitian (R.D.) status.

One year experience in clinical nutrition after registration as a dietitian.

The Nutritionist/Dietitian has overall responsibility for the development and monitoring of all nutritional services of the ADHC. Education/Skills Requirement

The candidate must be registered as a Dietitian from a school accredited by the American Dietetic Association with a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university. Two years clinical experience in a health setting preferred. Experience in working with HIV/AIDS population desirable.

The Nutrition Program Coordinator (NPC) serves as the primary driver and supporter for all products and services considered part of Life Time Training’s Nutrition, Metabolism, & Weight Management department.



Responsibilities:

Dedicate a minimum of 5 hours per week to generate nutritional leads by connecting with our members through nutritional product sampling booths, hosting complimentary nutrition seminars, and/or conducting nutritional consultations (Training Solutions, myHealthScore, LTBucks Nutrition services).

Offer Member Nutritional Services (for a minimum of 10 hours per week) to increase a healthy way of life. These services include:

* Nutrition Coaching (1:1, partner, group)

* Grocery Store Tours

* Healthy Living Classes.

Promote and sell all nutritional products, services, and Life Time Training Initiatives (90Day Challenge, Alpha events, Black Friday offers, etc.) to contribute to the overall club performance.

Provide monthly (or more frequent) education to the Personal Training Team on any of the nutrition products or services offered based on club need.

Host educational/development sessions for on-boarding new trainers (first 120 days) and any personal trainers producing less than club/regional expectations. These educational sessions may include:

* Weekly or Biweekly Nutrition Business/Skill Development Time

* Active Coaching Discussions

* Facilitate in Leadership 1:1

Complete and submit a monthly business review to the PTDH and Regional Nutrition Lead and provide weekly nutritional updates to achieve these goals and objectives.

Share the monthly calendar of events to the Personal Training Division and provide support on the monthly regional conference calls to increase awareness and participation.



Qualifications

Education:

Preferred four year college degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field



Experience:

3 months or greater tenure with Life Time Training as a Nutrition Coach AND 3 month trailing average KPI’s:$1000 Nutritional Products, $1000 Lab Testing, and $1000 Nutrition Coaching Services

Minimum of one client success story submission to myStory or LifeTime-WeightLoss.com

Preferred outpatient Nutrition counseling experience within the fitness industry

Product or service sales & marketing background recommended

Experience setting and striving for personal business productivity quotas

Group health, fitness or nutrition event organization/facilitation experience desirable



Licenses / Certifications / Registration:

CPR/AED Certified

Minimum of one nationally accredited Personal Training Certification

Minimum of one nationally accredited Nutrition Coaching/Counseling Certification

At least one of the following:

* Registered Dietician Nutrition (RDN)

* Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified

* Sport Nutritionist (C-ISSN through International Society of Sports Nutrition)

* Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS)

* Other nutrition certifications may be accepted based on individual discussion with hiring managers & Life Time Nutrition Program Managers

Registered Dietitian, Vanderheyden Hall Wynanstkill NY

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the provision of food and nutritional services provided to the individuals served by Vanderheyden, in accordance with the standards set for New York State (NYS) Departments of Mental Hygiene, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Office of Children and Family Services and the United States Department of Agriculture.



Primary Duties & Essential Functions:

Plan and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease.

Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to their quality of life.

Consult with physicians and clinical staff to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of students.

Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.

Develop curriculum and prepare manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching.

Assist in arranging community based nutritional services for individuals in Day Program, the IRA’s and Best Road Residence.

Purchase food in accordance with health and safety codes.

Establish sanitation and safety guidelines to prevent the contamination of food or injury to a person

Liaison with clinical team to ensure involvement in intake process for individuals when indicated.

Liaison with the school chef to coordinate food services, which meet regulations and are appealing to the population served.

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service systems management, clinical nutrition, or a related area.

Certified Dietitian Nutritionist required

Valid New York State certification for Dietetics and Nutrition

Ability to manage time and workload effectively.

Problem solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.



Abilities and Working Conditions:

Must be available to work a 40 hour work week

Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Must have a valid NYS driver’s license

Must be able to perform restraints and maintain TCI certification

Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.

Ability to deal positively with changing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Display a positive, professional and proactive attitude to accomplish quality work that is in line with the agency’s mission statement.
