Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)


Responsibilities



The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is an entitlement program that is federally funded and managed by New York State.  The Metropolitan Area Regional Office (MARO) staff is responsible for CACFP day care and adult centers in New York City’s five boroughs and five surrounding counties (Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland and Putnam). MARO CACFP serves approximately 800 sponsors, with 4000 sites.



CACFP is fully automated and uses Microsoft Windows 7/Microsoft Office.


Some tasks include:



  *   Conducts federally mandated Program Reviews.



  *   Complete written program reports within 30 days of the review.



  *   Approved/disapproved corrective action plan (CAP) within 30 days after report findings.



  *   Calculates & Evaluates Food Production Records




The job description states 70% travel around NYC but it's really just 4 days out of the month. It is a temp position but the term is indefinite. Pay is $28/hr and the staff are very nice and supportive.
