Subject: Internship and Volunteer Opportunities with Just Food

Ms. Mirza,

My name is Ashley and I'm an intern at Just Food, a non-profit organization
committed to building a just and sustainable food system for NYC. I'm also
an MPH student at Hunter. Just Food connects communities and local farms
with the resources and support they need to make fresh, locally grown food
accessible to all New Yorkers.

This spring and summer, our Fresh Food for All program will have several
intern and volunteer opportunities for college students and community
members.
We are looking for students in the Nutrition, MPH, Community Health programs
as well as any other specialty that you think would be applicable.
Undergraduate and Graduate applicants are welcome. Are you the right person
to contact regarding internship and volunteer opportunities for CUNY SPH?
Are there any special instructions for posting internships and volunteer
opportunities?

Just Food interns and volunteers engage in the following types of
activities: bilingual support at events and farm trips, nutrition education
at food pantries, development of educational materials, administrative
assistance, workshop organization, communications and outreach. Interns
have the opportunity to work with farmers, community members, Just Food
staff and other non-profit organizations, building their professional
network and participating in regional initiatives. Interns will gain new
skills (i.e. meeting facilitation and participatory training skills).
College credit may be available.

We look forward to working with your organization.

Thank you,
