Dear Colleague,

Happy Halloween! Of course candy is a part of Halloween, but we’ve pulled together some tips to keep the junk a bit more in check. Please let us know if you can help share some Halloween tips with your members. Below are some ideas:

* Send out an email to your members via your organization’s action network. (Feel free to use our email campaign, attached below, as a model.)

* Share Halloween tips via your social media networks: Facebook, Twitter, and/or Pinterest.

** Model Facebook posts:

For healthier trick-or-treating, try giving out small toys, like temporary tattoos or pencils, or healthier treat options, like dried fruit or 100% juice. http://pinterest.com/pin/237635317809261078/

Try out these games and crafts at Halloween parties and these healthier snacks! http://pinterest.com/pin/237635317809261088/

Give children a healthy meal before trick-or-treating to make candy dessert, not dinner. http://pinterest.com/pin/237635317809261086/
