The Dietary Guidelines for Americans are reviewed and updated every five years. They provide healthy eating advice, but importantly, they are the basis of all federal nutrition policy (and a lot of state and local policy too). The first Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee meeting will take place June 13-14 on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
