Subject: NY Times story on menu labeling

There is a good story on the front page of the NY Times today about menu labeling and other scientific disagreements between the FDA and the White House: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/03/health/policy/white-house-and-fda-at-odds-on-regulatory-issues.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&hp#. It lays out how the White House has let politics stand in the way of science-based decisions, including on menu labeling, and how the President has not met this pledge:

Mr. Obama signed a presidential memorandum pledging to restore scientific integrity to government decision-making and to listen to scientists “even when it’s inconvenient — especially when it’s inconvenient.
