Household Food Security in the United States in 2011<http://www.ers.usda.gov/eMail/?l=FOODNUTRITIONASSISTANCE-AT-ERS&d=09/7/2012&p=2&t=http://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/err-economic-research-report/err141.aspx>  An estimated 85.1% of American households were food secure throughout the entire year in 2011, meaning that they had access at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members - meaning that 14.9% of households were food insecure at least some time in 2011.
