Food Policy - This event has already passed: Workgroup call notes coming soon!
Monday, June 17th,11:00am-12:00pm
Food policy touches on multiple issues related to the production, distribution, and availability of the foods we eat.

Clinical and Community Linkages
Thursday, June 20th,10:00-11:00am
The focus of this group is to explore opportunities to connect clinical providers and evidence based obesity prevention interventions that are community-based.

Economic and Community Development
Tuesday, June 25th,10:00-11:00am
As New York State engages in strategic plans to boost the economy, there are multiple opportunities to also address the consideration of health in those plans. Improving the health of communities can also improve the economic vitality.

Healthy Schools and Childcare
Thursday, June 27th,10:00-11:00am
Through this workgroup, partners and strategies for improving the food and activity environment in schools are identified. Mandatory active recess and supporting implementation of new school food standards are a key focus for this group.

Active Communities
Thursday, June 27th,1:00-2:00pm
Equitable access to opportunities for safe and convenient places to be active, as well as transportation systems that encourage daily activity are an important component of obesity prevention.
