Description

Andrea Arroyo Art Studio is looking for a qualified intern to join “Unnatural Election: Artists Respond to the 2016 US Presidential Election” an art project with the participation of over 100 international artists.

This intern should be prepared to work directly with an award-winning, full-time artist/curator and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the art field.



Responsibilities

Assist with:

Formatting, uploading and archiving images (Photoshop.).

Database and project archive (Excel, Word.)

Marketing and promotional materials, including email campaigns, flyers, postcards.

Website maintenance (uploading images/information.)

Social media (Facebook, instagram, twitter)

Exhibition production (including printing/trimming/preparing images, creating labels, artist list, exhibit brochure, installation, signage.)



Requirements

I am looking for student in the NYC area who has a sincere interest in social justice and art/design.

Student should be well-organized, hard-working, self-motivated and responsible.

Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Word, Excel, web and social media.

Laptop computer a plus.



Internship period and hours

Internship duration and hours are flexible; however, a minimum of 6 hours per week is needed, for a period of at least 10 weeks.
