OUR ALUMNI

FoodCorps is only a few years old, but our alumni are already making us proud by continuing to shape how their communities connect with healthy food.

They're working as farm to school coordinators, garden teachers, school chefs and food policy analysts. They're pursuing degrees so they can be better teachers; make smart policy; practice medicine focused on preventive care through good nutrition; and create public health initiatives that combat childhood obesity.

We double down on the investment we make in our AmeriCorps service members by continuing to invest in them as alumni. After we train and support them through their service, we give them opportunities to learn and grow as they move forward in their careers.

We invest in our alumni because we know they are the creators and stewards of our future food system. Five years in, we are seeing the fruits of our collective labor: FoodCorps alumni continue to work in related fields.

This fall we offered our alumni innovative trainings, grant opportunities and more. Learn more about our alumni programs on our website.<http://cl.exct.net/?qs=04df57284e8829bb852f357f41c73a9037fc25ee573132deb846b5b8410f4df9>

APPLY TO SERVE

Step one of building that pipeline of talent is to recruit and select AmeriCorps service members. The application to be a future FoodCorps service member opens January 8th! We are seeking over 200 local leaders to join us starting next August.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, you can read all about the application process on our website<http://cl.exct.net/?qs=04df57284e8829bb0ec5699c92151ac607655dcad0a41d393c9945f72650b4f8>; read on our blog about the many hats a service member wears<http://cl.exct.net/?qs=bf2a3201563aa0e697563a52ec58873c3db7642022030d411b465b02c09019a0>; or watch a video made by one of our alumni<http://cl.exct.net/?qs=bf2a3201563aa0e69a5a3796dc240026026e4fe47d78ab93096c259ae015dea7> about the reasons people choose to serve.

Help spread the word!
