When planning your Food Day activities please keep in mind that FNCE is Oct 19-22.

Hello All,

Please join us Thursday, July 11th at 11am EST for the annual Food Day 2013 Organizing Webinar for New York State. Find out what coordinators have planned for Food Day in NYS, hear organizing and coalition building tips from some of last year's organizers, and connect with others interested in getting involved across the state.

Food Day is a nationwide celebration of healthy, affordable, and sustainably produced food, and a grassroots campaign for better food policies. It builds all year long and culminates on October 24. Food Day 2012, the 2nd annual celebration, featured more than 3,200 events in all 50 states! This annual event brings together some of the most prominent voices for change in the food movement, united by a vision of food that is healthy, affordable, and produced with care for the environment, farm animals, and the people who grow, harvest, and serve it. In 2013, Food Day will focus on food education. Children who know where our food comes from and how to cook meals will have a big advantage when it comes to being healthy and avoiding obesity, and other health problems.
