POSITION SUMMARY:

HealthBarn USA, a proven leader in healthy-lifestyle education for children and their families, is looking for motivated entry-level Nutrition Educators, Summer Camp Counselors and Assistants to join our team nutrition and dietetic professionals! We are looking for MSU undergraduate or graduate students who are committed to learning and interested in growing with our team!



As a HealthBarn USA Teacher, Summer Camp Counselor or Assistant you will educate or assist children, families and the community through our many healthy-life style programs, including:



- Seasonal Programs -- currently in Spring

- Garden-to-Table Summer Camp

- School Field Trips

- Adult Programing

- Camp assemblies on-site at other locations



REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to facilitate nutrition education through hands-on lessons in the garden & kitchen.

- Demonstrates teamwork, open communication & good interpersonal skills.

- Ability to follow a lesson plan and listen carefully to instruction.

- Demonstrates attention to detail and good time management.

- Works well with children, parents, teachers and other employees.

- Willing to get dirty (in the garden) and offer help where help is needed!

- Committed to the team and looking to learn and grow with our company!

- Takes initiative and has basic cooking skills.



SALARY:

This is a part-time paid position (full-time in the summer). Starting at $16 - $20/hour commensurate with experience.



LOCATION:

HealthBarn USA is located in the stone house at 1057 Hillcrest Road, Ridgewood, NJ within the Irene Habernickel Family Park.
