Research Assistant Application
NOURISH (Nutrition is OUR Intervention to Sustain Health)

Interns will have the opportunity to:

·         Gain research experience relevant to graduate school, medical school, etc.

·         Earn letters of recommendation

·         Develop skills related to data collection and analysis

·         Recruit and run participants

·         Develop literature reviews and manuscripts

·         Co-author manuscripts, IRB applications, and conference presentations

·         Use specific skill sets (graphic design, language translation, etc.)

·         Requirements: attend a weekly meeting, day and time TBD; commit to 10-15 hours each week

Examples of current research topics include, but are not limited to:

·         Protein needs of older adults (diet quality of older adults, impact of home delivered meals)

·         Secondary data analysis (impact of sodium intake by race/ethnicity)

 We are also interested in applicants with the following additional skills:


  *   ·         Public health and research background
  *   ·         Interest in nutrition
  *   ·         Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Cantonese
  *   ·         Qualtrics
  *   ·         NHANES
  *   ·         BRFSS
  *   ·         SAS/SPSS/STATA/R
