Volunteer Goal and Overview

*       Are you interested in seeing how a top surgical center runs, engaging in a meaningful service to patients and families, and sharpening your communication skills while preparing for your career in medicine? We have an exciting volunteer opportunity to be part of the daily operations of the nation's top, #1 hospital in Orthopedics. You will learn the scope and process of outpatient visits while creating an excellent experience for patients/visitors through service, communication & empathy. Engage with both

clinical & non-clinical staff.

Experiences

*       Providing an exceptional first impression and warm welcome to all patients and visitors

*       Attending to the most high volume areas of the hospital to help navigate patients and visitors throughout its premises

*       Build close relationships with other departments and collaborate with respective areas to accommodate patient's needs.

*       Attending to patient/visitor questions or concerns and notifying staff with any complaints and issues

*       Rounding areas for uncertain/lost patients who need assistance

*       Escorting patients in wheelchairs to and from their appointments if needed.
