GLOBAL HEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS: Child Family Health International's scholarship deadline for summer Global Health Education Programs has been extended to March 16th! CFHI programs place you in the trenches of global health alongside health care workers, patients, and community leaders. They allow you to understand complex global health challenges through the eyes of community members and get to the core of on-the-ground realities.

Scholarship applications for summer CFHI programs are due March 16th by 11:59 pm PST. Apply at http://www.cfhi.org/web/index.php/xcms/showpage/page/Scholarships.

ETHICAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: CFHI partner globalsl.org<http://globalsl.org> is hosting its first Global Service & Ethical Photography Contest to encourage appropriate use of photography and social media during cross-cultural service experiences. $100 cash prizes will be awarded in three categories: mutual learning, cross-cultural cooperation, and new possibilities. To enter, photographers must register for a free account with Cowbird, upload their photo submission, and share a paragraph-length reflection on how it connects to the categories above.

The first round of judging will occur April 17th. Learn more at http://globalsl.org/promote-ethical-and-informed-global-service-win-100-photo-contest/.

CFHI PUBLISHED IN JOURNAL OF BIOETHICAL INQUIRY: The recent article "The Ethics of Asset-Based Global Health Education Programs" authored by CFHI Executive Director, Dr. Jessica Evert, highlights CFHI's unique approach to global health education and community engagement, citing benefits to both program participants and host communities.
