Research Assistant Application
NOURISH (Nutrition is OUR Intervention to Sustain Health)

Interns will have the opportunity to:

*         Gain research experience relevant to graduate school, medical school, etc.

*         Earn letters of recommendation

*         Develop skills related to data collection and analysis

*         Recruit and run participants

*         Develop literature reviews and manuscripts

*         Co-author manuscripts, IRB applications, and conference presentations

*         Use specific skill sets (graphic design, language translation, etc.)

*         Requirements: attend a weekly meeting, day and time TBD; commit to 10-15 hours each week

Examples of current research topics include, but are not limited to:

*         Protein needs of older adults (diet quality of older adults, impact of home delivered meals)

*         Secondary data analysis (impact of sodium intake by race/ethnicity)


 We are also interested in applicants with the following additional skills:


  *   *         Public health and research background
  *   *         Interest in nutrition
  *   *         Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Cantonese
  *   *         Qualtrics
  *   *         NHANES
  *   *         BRFSS
  *   *         SAS/SPSS/STATA/R
