We are excited to announce our new online Global Health Track that is being offered as part of our Master of Public Health (MPH) program<http://thinkbeyond.sgu.edu/iem/link.php?M=5657560&N=12695&L=1827&F=H> beginning this January 2018. Your student's dream of becoming a public health professional is even more accessible.

The new global health track is designed to help students gain insight into issues that impact public health on a global scale. Focusing on issues that transcend country-specific locations and/or economics, and impact human healthcare in a global context, students will learn how to plan, design, and implement programs to benefit the overall health of communities across the globe.

The Master of Public Health Global Track program is a 42-credit, one-year program conducted predominantly online. At the end of Term 3, students are required to complete a 240-hour on-site practicum. Each practicum is tailored to the students' individual program, providing real-life, hands-on experience in their chosen public health concentration.

Overall MPH Program Highlights:

  * The one-year MPH program conducted on campus offers specializations in epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, health policy and administration. The one-year online MPH program offers specialization in global health.
  * The on-campus MPH program in Grenada is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), the US accreditation authority for public health programs.
  * Practicums are tailored to each student's individual program—past practicums have been conducted at over 170 locations, in more than 30 countries throughout Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Oceania, and North America and South America. 65% of practicum sites were in North America (62% in the US).
  * First World Health Organization Collaborating Center on Environmental and Occupational Health to be designated in the region.
  * Fully integrated One Health, One Medicine environment—the result of a unique campus that houses MD, DVM, and MPH students who have hailed from over 140 countries.
