Dr. Willie Parker is a reproductive justice advocate and a practicing OB/GYN in Al, MS, PA, GA, IL. Currently he is working at the last abortion clinic in Mississippi and is one of the few doctors willing to perform abortions in the Deep South. In 2013, Dr. Parker was awarded the George Tiller, MD Award and an Abortion Providers are Heroes Certificate of Appreciation by the Abortion Rights Freedom Ride at the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation. Dr. Parker received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MPH from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his OB-GYN residency at the University of California, San Francisco.



Clips from Dawn Porter’s Trapped, a documentary about reproductive justice will be screened at the event.
