Hunter Science College Success Program

Hunter Science College Success Program (HSCSP) has opened its application for undergraduates who wish to become a College Readiness Student Coach. This is a terrific opportunity for pre-health students who want to work on their leadership and community outreach experience.

Program Description

HSCSP aims to motivate and inform students at Manhattan Hunter Science High School (MHSHS) about pursuing higher education and professional careers in various disciplines. HSCSP provides this guidance by inviting professionals to speak to the students and through its College Readiness Student Coaches, composed of trained Hunter College undergraduate students.

College Readiness Student Coaches help prepare MHSHS students through group advising sessions that will be held three times at MHSHS this semester and that will be at Hunter College in the fall.

Time Commitment

College Readiness Student Coaches must be available to visit MHSHS, located in the Upper West Side, once a month during a weekday in March, April, and May. Each visit will be in the morning, and last about 1 hour. There will be an opportunity to continue advising MHSHS students in the Fall semester as well, and these advising sessions will be held at Hunter College.

If you are accepted into the program, you must also commit to attending one mandatory training session at Hunter College.

Please click here(https://ww3.hunter.cuny.edu/prehealth/view.php?id=83107) if you would like to apply. Applications are due on Tuesday, February 20th.
