Then consider working as an intern for Heath Leads at Harlem Hospital today!



Health Leads is seeking a fluent French speaker-who can speak, translate and write French on a college level. This person will be trained to be the SNAP enroller at the Harlem Hospital site. Harlem Hospital serves a large French population, and with your help, patients/clients can receive the benefits they need. No prior interpreting experience is necessary!



Job Description:

·  Complete SNAP applications

·  Guide patients through the application process

·  Collect and submit paper work

·  Translate applications (french applications do not exist in NYC)

·  Oversee SNAP Queue Triage

·  Mediate cases as needed and maintain a case load

·  Weekly 3 hour shift at Harlem Hospital

Other requirements:

·  Attend weekly Advocate Developments sessions (Every Tuesday 7:15-8:15pm @ the City College of New York - 137th & Broadway)

·  Complete clearance at Harlem Hospital
