Summer Pharmacy Institute
The Summer Pharmacy Institute<https://pharmacy.uic.edu/programs/pharmd-professional-program/events-for-prospective-students/summer-pharmacy-institute> (SPI) allows students to explore different areas of the pharmacy profession, including a full day workshop devoted to current trends, research, and activities in each of the following focus areas: Hospital, Ambulatory Care, Industry/Research & Development, Community, and Professionalism in the Field.


Who Should Attend
Applicants may be current undergraduate students, students that have already completed their undergraduate degree, or recent college graduates.  It is highly recommended that applicants have taken undergraduate level coursework in biology, chemistry, and/or anatomy & physiology, as well as have a strong interest in the pharmacy career field.  Limited to 25 participants.


COST:  $100
The cost to attend this five-day institute is $100, which will include a t-shirt and lunch.  Payment is due to UIC following admission. Please note that while lunch will be served, housing WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
