The postmark deadline to apply for the Summer Institute in Biomedical Optics is Friday, January 15, 2016.

The HST Summer Institute is part of MIT's effort to help facilitate the involvement of talented students in engineering and science research; in particular, underrepresented minorities, first-generation college students, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

An application to the Summer Institute includes:

  *   A complete, signed, and dated application form including a statement of objectives listing details of any applicable research experience
  *   An official transcript from your college or university
  *   Two sealed letters of recommendation from academic or research supervisors who are familiar with you as a student

The application for admission to the Institute may be downloaded by clicking on the link below. It is a printable form saved as a pdf. In order to open the application you will need to have Adobe Acrobat<http://9-pdf-pro.com/index.asp?aff=100&camp=gg_AA_us&se=google> or Adobe Acrobat Reader<http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html> installed on your computer.
