To the Pre-health community!

We are looking for a 6 more volunteers for an installation project on Wednesday, August 10th from 11AM to 5PM.

Installation projects have become extremely popular for the American Red Cross at Hunter College. Many perish in fires annually simply because cautionary devices are not implemented in their homes. The American Red Cross has partnered with the FDNY and NY state to install 10,000 alarms by mid-2017. In our last installation project we installed 232 Fire alarms (also doubles as Carbon monoxide alarms)!!!

These installations will greatly reduce the nearly 25,000 fires we have annually in New York state alone as reported by Disaster cycle services of the American Red Cross.

If you are new to the club please first register with us and fill out the form linked below (in forwarded email).

Prospective volunteers ages 18 and over, use this link: 18 and over<https://volunteerconnection.redcross.org/?nd=intake&entry_point_id=5283&unit_id=236>
Prospective Volunteers under 18, use this link: Under 18<https://volunteerconnection.redcross.org/?nd=intake&entry_point_id=5041&unit_id=236>

For new members: Although your account will be in the process of being cleared and activated (typically takes 1 business day), you may still attend this event!-- we keep logs of everyone's hours and we will upload your hours to your account once you are cleared!

A final roster will be sent out a day prior to the event.

Kind regards,
Ryan A. Sankar
President of the American Red Cross at Hunter College
Service Chair of the Regional Campus Council for Youth Services
