February 5, 1pm-2:30pm, Leon & Toby Cooperman Library, Room E114
Do you need help finding peer-reviewed research to support claims you are making in a paper? Do you wish you knew how to cite references and create bibliographies using citation managers like RefWorks? Look no further than our very own Hunter Library for a special workshop about how to find and cite academic papers quickly and easily.

Presentation Tips Workshop (http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/scimon/events?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter0114events)
February 11, 12:30pm-2pm, Room TBA
Are you planning to present your research at the Undergraduate Research Conference this year? If you are presenting your work at a conference or anywhere else, you won’t want to miss this exciting session! In this workshop, Professor Derrick Brazill will provide students with tips for how to efficiently and effectively present research. Dr. Brazill will emphasize how to plan presentations, how to organize data and information, and how to present information orally and visually.

Presentation and Poster Feedback Drop-In Hours (http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/scimon/events?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter0114events)
February 19, 1pm-2:30pm & 5pm-6:30pm, Room TBA
Another excellent opportunity to fine-tune your presentation skills, just in time for the Undergraduate Research Conference! During these two sessions (feel free to drop by for either or both), students can get one-on-one help with the layout and organization of posters and PowerPoint presentations. SciMON staff and graduate student researchers will be on hand to give feedback on students’ drafts of presentations. Please bring a draft of your presentation with you, and note that we will not be able to give you feedback on the content of your presentation, but only its layout and organization.
