This event uptown at 68th needs a slightly different setup than what I am doing at the dorms since people sitting around bored and hungry are easier to bring to listen to ideas than people who are rushing to class or work uptown. Also, a tentative time and date could be announced at this event and hopefully printed on pamphlets to put under people's doors to increase the turnout. The dormitory is a great resource to use to share ideas since people live here and conversate in Hunter circles 24/7 unlike the majority of the school.

The idea of using 217HW is not bad since a barren room doesn't encourage people to walk in but I fear that putting it in a classroom makes it too private to share information. A big problem in Hunter politics is the lack of sharing information which doesn't pique interest in people outside of certain circles. I would like to open these cliques up as much as realistically possible so having a big event in an easily noticeable and accessible place is key.

The West Lobby is definitely bad for that since it is overcrowded and noisy which in turn makes it unaccessible but what about the Lobby area between Hunter North, Thomas Hunter Hall and the Hunter West walkway? It has regular traffic/noise but is less crowded than the HW lobby with similiar benefits. Also, it is closer to the club and student government rooms so people who access those areas will be walking through it. Would we be able to get this space? Other groups have had events there...
