Food
Prep at Eating Disorder Treatment Center
We are looking
for an individual or individuals to do food prep for meal service provided to ED patients.
Meal service
is provided 4 night a week, Monday through Thursday. Current shifts available are Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Monday and Tuesday will become available mid-December.
We need
a commitment of one day a week, additional days can be offered if desired.
Compensation:
$20/hr ($50/shift)
Duties
& Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for compliance with food safety standards.
- Responsible
for all aspects of food preparation and presentation as needed (setting up dining room, serving meals in dining room).
- Assists
in control of inventory and supplies.
- Responsible for safety in the kitchen environment.
- Maintain
cleanliness in kitchen and dining room.
- Keeps
work areas and food storage areas clean and safe at all times.
The ideal
candidate must be:
-able to work the indicated times
and hours.
-punctual and maintain good personal
hygiene.
-knowledgeable in cooking techniques
as well as food safety guidelines
-knowledgeable on kitchen equipment
and utensils.
--a multi-tasker, quick and efficient.
--discreet.
Although you don't need to be a "chef
extraordinaire", you need to have demonstrated mastery of basic cooking skills and ideally you should take pride in plate presentation.

1. This is not an opportunity to
shadow a Dietitian or Social Worker.
2. Although we understand school
commitments and changes to schedules every semester, please only respond if you know you can handle the workload and can commit to more than just a few months.
3. Individual must be a local resident
(i.e. doesn't need to go travel home during long breaks and holidays).
