 Spoons Across America is excited to announce a new partnership with Ferguson Kitchen, Bath and Lighting Showrooms.<http://shop.ferguson.com/> We will be leading our innovative food and nutrition program, Take a Taste with Spoons, in selected stores and showrooms in New Jersey on Saturday mornings beginning in July.







We are currently seeking a dynamic, engaging, and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader for this program. Curriculum Leaders will work with children ages 6-10 to explore the elements of taste, learn about the importance of local and seasonal ingredients and prepare a healthy recipe to share with their fellow participants.



Responsibilities:



·         Lead a series of 12 weekly activities in taste exploration, healthy cooking, nutrition and more.



·         Support children with kitchen skills and safety in food preparation



·         Work with children to make discoveries and facilitate discussion and interaction



·         Set up and clean up all materials.



·         Work with volunteers as required.



Qualifications:



·         Possess a love for working with children, with 1-2 years of demonstrated teaching experience.



·         Passionate and knowledgeable about healthy eating, cooking, food, farming, and community wellness.



·         Superb communication and classroom management skills.



·         Highly organized, responsible, dependable, flexible, patient and detail-oriented.



·         Ability to travel to activity location (rental cars/ gas reimbursement provided if needed)



·         Valid drivers license



Time Commitment and Location:



·         Attend 1 Spoons Across America Orientation and Training session in midtown Manhattan



·         Approximately 3 hours per week for preparation, travel time, class time, set-up and cleanup.



·         Activities are held on Saturdays in select locations in New Jersey. Rental cars are provided for transportation if needed.



·         Additional opportunities are available and Curriculum Leaders may have ability to take on more work in the Fall.



·         Prefer commitment for all 12 weeks, but will consider 4 week minimum commitment.
