BIONUTRITION RESEARCH UNIT:

DIET RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

Motivated individual with creative cooking skills and precision to meet nutrition research requirements. Must be able to weigh foods correctly; keep records accurately; order and stock supplies and maintain order and cleanliness of the research kitchen.

Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned, necessary to the functioning of the Research Unit. Must be able to learn and accept new techniques in food and formula preparation using a homogenizer.

Must have inter-personal skills. Must be able to communicate with patients and other members of the healthcare team. Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule and work weekends when required.

Education: Minimum Associate Degree with food service training and work experience.

Experience:   Food preparation skills
                        Computer skills
                        Qualifying certificate ( for example SERV SAFE) in food protection
